And we’ve already had some fireworks as Louis Rankin threw a 39-yard halfback pass to Corey Williams as the Purple offense drove for the first touchdown of the game.
The drive concluded with another highlight reel play as Marcel Reece made a one-handed grab of a Jake Locker pass on a fourth-and-two play to put the Purple ahead 7-0. The Purple (which is the No. 1 offense and defense) drove 60 yards in nine plays.
