UW to host USC in Prime Time

ABC has released its preliminary schedule for its Saturday night prime college football lineup this season and among the featured games is USC’s visit to Washington on Sept. 29.
That means the UW-USC game will start at 5 p.m. marking a rare night game at Husky Stadium.
The UW-USC game is one of two set for that time slot, with Ohio State at Minnesota the other. That means one game will be televised nationally on ABC, the other on ESPN or ESPN2 with the network assignment to be decided six or 12 days ahead of time. This series of games is part of the conference’s expanded TV agreement with ABC and ESPN.
The USC game will be a big day for UW as the Huskies will honor the 1960 team as national champs, while also hoping to open the new football Legends Center.
UW will also be on national TV on prime time for its opener on Aug. 31 at Syracuse, which will be played on Friday night beginning at 5 p.m. PDT.
