Willingham speaks, more

Washington coaches have spent a lot of the month traveling the state, participating in the UW Coaches Tour golf tournaments.
Here’s a report from one earlier this week in Longview. No big news, but some interesting thoughts from UW coach Tyrone Willingham as he again states that Jake Locker is the team’s starting quarterback and that improvement is needed on the O-line and in the secondary.
Also intruiging that he says “we need to find two new kickers.” Not sure if he’s referencing the shaky performance of punter Jared Ballman during the spring, or just a general statement that the team obviously is without both of the starting kickers from last season.
Here, also, is a story from the San Bernardino Sun reporting on an honor won by UW freshman QB Ronnie Fouch.
And here is our story today on some UW players visiting Seattle-area elementary schools this week.
