Willingham’s checkbook doing okay

I’m a little late on this story from Sunday about coaching salaries at Notre Dame but thought it still worth passing along.
The story points out that Tyrone Willingham was the highest-paid coach at Notre Dame for the fiscal year of 2005-06 due to a payout of $650,000 he received after being fired. The story also includes some details on Willingham’s pay at Washington. Nothing really new on that — we printed the full details on his contract after it became official in 2005.
Willingham is entering the third year of a five-year contract he signed at that time.
