Ellis, Ala on CFL rosters

The Canadian Football League regular season begins this season, and as of now, there are only two University of Washington in the league.
Kai Ellis is on the active roster of the Montreal Alouettes, while Brandon Ala is on the practice roster of the BC Lions.
There are some other interesting Pac-10 names on some of the rosters, however, including Kenny Wheaton (sorry) and former Stanford star Riall Johnson (Toronto) and Akili Smith and former Oregon State cornerback Brandon Browner — who declared early for the NFL and never made it in that league — in Calgary.
