Another new kicker for UW

Jim Riley of our staff has the story today of Nathan Hale’s Kiel Rasp, who has decided to walk-on to the Huskies this fall.
Rasp will play today at 1 p.m. in the East/West All-Star football game at Everett Memorial Stadium.
Rasp was named to the All-State team each of the past two years and said that while he had a few scholarship offers “my heart was really set on UW.” After recently being accepted as a student, he decided to walk-on.
Rasp is the second kicker this summer to agree to walk-on at UW, joining placekicker Cory Rutkowski of Hailey, Idaho.
Both will add depth to a position that is uncertain, despite the presence of three scholarship players — punter/kicker Ryan Perkins, JC transfer punter Jared Ballman, and kicker Erik Folk, who will arrive in the fall.
