More on tickets, other notes

Here’s the story I wrote today on the UW-Boise State game.
A couple of interesting highlights:
— As big a game as this is for UW, it’s also real big for Boise State. The one thing the Broncos have yet to do is beat a team from a BCS conference on the road. BSU has gone 0-12 in those situations (the win over Oklahoma was on a neutral field, obviously).
— Boise State coach Chris Petersen isn’t letting his players talk to Seattle-area media. Apparently, it’s a new policy not to let players talk to media who cover the opposing team. That’s a pretty rare policy — no Pac-10 team does that.
SOME OTHER NOTES:
Joe Lobendahn was cut by the Lions the other day.
— Here’s a good day-after look at Cal’s win over Tennessee and how using one game to judge entire conferences can seem a little silly.
— Here’s a little more on Marques Tuiasosopo surviving with the Jets.

— USC coach Pete Carroll is unhappy with his team’s running game.
