Boeing to sponsor Apple Cup

The press conference here is still a half-hour or so away, but the large banner behind the podium featuring a logo saying that the Apple Cup game is
“proudly sponsored by Boeing” seems like a good tip-off that Boeing will be the proud sponsor of the Apple Cup.
I’ll pass along more details later.
The logo includes the designation that this is the 100th Apple Cup and there will apparently be other announcements here about celebrations revolving around that anniversary.
UPDATE 1 p.m. — A few more details. Boeing has made a four-year commitment to sponsor the game. The financial details are unknown with UW AD Todd Turner saying it is “significant but not overwhleming.” Nowhere near $1 million or anything, but probably in the six-figure range somewhere.
Turner said he actually didn’t know an exact number because the money is technically part of UW’s deal with ISP, the company that handles all of its rights fees, and is part of that larger pool.
For more details, here is the official release from GoHuskies.com as well as the logo.
