UW bandwagon filling up

A lot of the national guys are releasing their picks today, and many are taking the Huskies tomorrow.
Here’s Dennis Dodd at CBSSports.com calling the Huskies to win in one of his Upsets of the Week. He doesn’t give a score but writes that Jake Locker is being talked about at UW in “muted tones” as a future Heisman candidate, and says that BSU’s winning streak has to end some time.
Here’s Bruce Feldman at ESPN.com picking UW 24-21 (you can only get this in the Insider package). Feldman says BSU will provide “a much better test” for UW than did Syracuse (I think Skyline High would, as well). But he says “don’t be surprised” if the UW running game gets cranked up behind Locker and if the Huskies’ defense gives the Broncos some problems.
Here’s Matt Hayes at The Sporting News who also doesn’t give a score but simply says that BSU’s “ride is over.” He calls Locker “a once-in-a-career talent” and that he will be good enough to make UW a bowl team this season. He says Locker is so good that it also makes you wonder why Isaiah Stanback was playing QB last year. You guys can debate that one if you want.
Here’s about the only dissenting vote I could find from Stewart Mandel of SI.com. Mandel calls it 29-20 for Boise but says Locker is the real deal and that UW may post a better record this year than Notre Dame. But he says that while UW is good enough to break BSU’s winning streak “I just don’t see it happening (yet).”
