A few more links

The Huskies are a popular topic these days, so here are a few more links:
— From Around The Oval, a blog devoted to Ohio State, is this story on five reasons why Ohio State may lose to UW, as passed along by a reader.
— Stewart Mandel of SI.com has the Huskies ranked No. 24.
— Several of you sent me this Pat Forde column from ESPN.com questioning why those at Notre Dame seem so accepting of a bad third year for Charlie Weis when they were so quick to fire Tyrone Willingham. Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News also has a take on that. And here’s one more on the same topic.
— Here are some bowl predictions from ESPN.com, one sending UW to the Las Vegas Bowl to play TCU, the the other to the Fort Worth Bowl against Wyoming (if I have any say in the matter, I’m picking the former).
— Here’s a good writeup on Jim Tressel’s press conference today where he compared Jake Locker to Vince Young. Also of interest in that piece is that Ohio State is coming out on Thursday and that backup QB Rob Schoenheft is sure to see some time on Saturday.
— What may be some bad news for UW is that Ohio State receiver Ray Small is likely to play after missing the first two games with a sprained ankle. Small only caught eight passes last year but was a pretty highly touted player out of high school.
