Wednesday morning links

I wrote about Ryan Tolar for today’s paper.
As the story indicates, Tolar isn’t doing interviews right now, which is one reason there has been little written about him.
But he’s been on the field for every significant play the offense has run this season (every play against Boise State and the first three quarters against Syracuse) so I thought he was worthy of some mention, especially since he’ll have such a big test this week with Ohio State.
In the notebook, I wrote about Quintin Daniels and Corey Williams getting a chance to play against Ohio State one more time. They are the two Huskies who saw the field against OSU back there in 2003.
From Columbus today comes this story that the Buckeyes are thinking their offense wasn’t quite as bad as it initially looked against Akron.
There’s also this from Toledo about how important the punting game could be Saturday. No doubt, UW’s special teams will have to step it up Saturday, as well.
The Akron paper has this about the challenge of so many of OSU’s young players going on the road for the first time.
And there’s this Pac-10 notebook from the Eugene Register-Guard ranking UW fifth in the conference.
