It never rains in California. …

No, as the old song said, it pours.
And man has it been doing that here the last few hours.
There was standing water on the freeway as I drove up to the hotel here in Pasadena a little while ago after having dinner with some friends.
The LA Daily News blog reports that the Rose Bowl is covered, however, so if this clears up by tomorrow (one forecast I heard on the radio said it just might) then maybe the weather won’t be a huge factor.
That said, I loved the headline on this story about UCLA’s Brian Price: “Price Will Get Feet Wet Against Washington.” So could everybody tomorrow.
In talking with some people, however, Price could be a big key tomorrow. With UCLA missing two starters up front, Price is expected to play quite a bit — a lot to ask for a true freshman who just started practicing this week after finally getting eligible.
But those who’ve seen him say he’s really talented, so he’ll be an interesting player to watch Saturday.
I’ll also link my preview story along with our preview box.
Also of interest to UW fans in our paper is the report on Kentwood’s Demitrius Bronson rushing for more than 200 yards for the third straight game. Bronson has already committed to UW.
GAME ON HDTV: Yes, the game will be on HDTV on Fox. Here’s some info.
