On Boyles

As some of you have posted, there is lots of talk out there about Anthony Boyles getting a passing score on his ACT. He has told people at UW that he has gotten a passing score.
However, there’s still some steps that have to take place on this one before it’s a completely done deal.
A UW spokesman said today that “nothing is official” in regards to Boyles, which is in contrast to what was said Thursday about Devin Aguilar, when coach Tyrone Willingham did confirm that Aguilar was good to go.
Boyles’ score and his transcripts will have to be reviewed by school officials as well as the NCAA Clearinghouse before he is given the go-ahead to enroll. He won’t enroll until January.
Also, sounds as if Boyles’ case is a little more complex than some others. So while it sounds as if the news today is good, there are also still some steps to take and it doesn’t figure to be until next week at the earliest that the school will be able to say that Boyles is indeed in.
