I wrote two stories for today. The first focused on Oregon’s Jonathan Stewart, who is from Lacey and will make the only appearance of his career at Husky Stadium this weekend.
The other story I wrote for today was our notebook, which was focused on the attempts by UW players and coaches to stay positive despite the four-game losing streak. I thought the comments by Juan Garcia were particularly interesting. He has always been so confident and optimistic, but his mood seemed noticably different yesterday and he falt-out admittede that a loss this weekend could have dire implications for the team.
— Here’s an injury update on the Ducks from the Eugene Register-Guard which mentions Stewart leaving practice early due to leg cramps, though not something that figures to hold him out Saturday.
— Here’s a story from the Oregonian on the fact that Oregon hasn’t been here since 2003.
— The Oregonian also has this on Andre Crenshaw, the running back who will now be called on to replace Jeremiah Johnson as Oregon’s backup.
