Thursday afternoon notes

Filling in today while Bob’s in L.A. Just got done with Tyrone Willingham’s Thursday press conference, and this one was brief. Some notes:
-On injuries, Willingham said “No deletions, no additions. It’s been a quiet two days.” That means Wilson Afoa is still expected to play.
-Asked whether J.R. Hasty is making the trip this weekend, Willingham said, “Don’t know yet.”
-On E.J. Savannah‘s status: “E.J.’s been fine. Doesn’t seem to have any ill effects of the stingers. Seems to be working pretty well. Hopefully, all the other issues are in the right place.”
-On the defense responding to the past two weeks: “One week it was an awful lot of yardage to give up on the ground, another week it was an awful lot of yardage to give up it the air. You keep telling our guys, ‘We’ve played good football.’ Keep doing the things that we know how to do well. Keep working. Don’t get down, don’t start to lose your fundamentals, because when you lose your fundamentals, everything else goes out the window.”
-Finally, on where his team stands this week, Willingham said: “I think our guys are angry. I think again, disappointment is a work that comes in there. I think they’re hungry to win. Hopefully, that’s why we’ve had solid practices this week. And I don’t think it’s just coach Willingham saying that, I think it’s what really taking place out there. So that will put us in a position to be successful on Saturday.”
PRACTICE UPDATE: No players in red, only adding to the certainty that Afoa will play Saturday.
