We had a couple different Husky stories today, one of which some of you have already discussed — UW athletic director Todd Turner saying he has no doubt in his mind that Tyrone Willingham will be back as coach next season.
The other is a notebook leading off with four UW players returning to their home state this weekend.
One note that got cut out of that story was Kalani Aldrich saying that he weighed more than 260 pounds when he arrived at UW in the summer but is now at 240, saying he’s lost about 25 pounds. He said adjusting to the food here and the season (even though he’s redshirting, simply practicing as hard as they do can be a real grind) has contributed. He said he’s hoping to get back up to 265 by next season.
— We also had this story today on the commitment by Cody Bruns, as well as a note on UW offering a scholarship to Skyline sophomore QB Jake Heaps.
— Here, also, is our Bill Doba coverage today.
— Here’s an LA Times column pleading the case for Hawaii not to get left out of the BCS.
— Here’s more on the security at Aloha Stadium for anyone who may be attending this weekend.
— Here’s the AP overview of the Hawaii matchup.
All for now.
