Brian White, continued

Nothing official yet on the naming of Brian White to UW’s football staff, but it is expected to happen soon, possibly today.

White will likely fill the tight ends/special teams coach role at UW vacated when Bob Simmons was fired in mid-December.
You can read his resume here, though what it fails to point out is that White also coached tight ends at Syracuse last year, so he has experience in that area as well as extensive work as a running backs coach.
Here’s a story from the day White was hired at Syracuse noting he has coached in 12 bowl games, many at Wisconsin, where
As noted here last night, White attended the UW basketball game sitting with Husky coaches Charlie Baggett and Ed Donatell, talking and shaking hands with other Husky officials at halftime.
UW still needs to hire one more coach to fill the vacancy left by running back Trent Miles when he left to become head coach at Indiana State.
