Gameday links

Overcast but appears to be clearing a little as I write this at about 11 a.m.
— My preview story focused on the two teams trying to make some meaning of this game, and the season that is left. And here’s the preview box.
— The Arizona Republic has a little note on UW cornerback Matt Mosley, a native of Tempe.
— Here is the Republic’s game preview. It makes note of the fact that UW QB Ronnie Fouch’s dad, John, played at ASU as a backup QB from 1976-78. I asked Ronnie about that this week and he said the family was never fans of ASU growing up. Other family members played at USC and the family lived in southern California, so the Trojans were always the favored team. His father ended up playing his final year at University of Redlands.
— The East Valley Tribune says ASU just has to worry about today, not winning four in a row.
— The Tribune also has a good breakdown of the game.
— Prospective UW QB commit Keith Price and St. John Bosco were beaten soundly by Mater Dei last night. Mater Dei’s QB, Matt Barkley, is headed to USC. Price has said he is reconsidering his options in the wake of the removal of Tyrone Willingham.
— UW commit Aaron Grymes and West Seattle High will be in action tonight.
— Here’s a good wrapup of the Gary Patterson-to-Kansas State fiasco.
— Another potential future UW coach, Pat Hill, had a bad night on Friday and needs a strong finish now just to get Fresno State to a bowl.
More later from the Stadium.
