Fouch says team meetings helped

UW quarterback Ronnie Fouch, in his weekly visit with the media today, revealed that the Huskies held several players’ only meetings last week, which he said helped improve the attitude heading into the Arizona State game.
“We wanted so step it up, bring more enthusiasm and more fire,” he said.
Asked what was said, Fouch said “some accountability stuff, some stuff we want to keep private between ourselves. I feel like it helped ourselves out. We were able to clear a lot of things that might have been on each others’ minds and make sure we are on the same mindset. We are not going to win if we are not on the same mind.”
He said he expects the meetings to continue since they seemed to pay off in an improved effort against ASU.
Fouch said the meetings were held in the wake of the 56-0 loss to USC the previous week.
“Just a long season of frustration,” he said. “It was time for something to change. We felt as players, it’s on us. It’s not coach anymore, it’s on us. We’ve got to produce. We’ve got to win games.”
