Off we go. …
— My story today focused on UW’s senior class playing its final home game at Husky Stadium this weekend. It hasn’t been a real good run for this group, obviously, and a win would salve the overall wounds only a tiny bit, but would still be a lot better than the alternative. This is the last group featuring players brought in by either Rick Neuheisel or Keith Gilbertson and also the last that signed when the Huskies were still known as consistent winners.
— The LA Times notes it’s also a homecoming for former UW player and assistant Wayne Moses.
— Upset alert: Two predictions today for UW, one from Ted Miller and another from SportsHubLA.com. Phil Steele, however, is still going with UCLA.
NOW ONTO THE FUTURE HUSKY COACHES PART OF THE PROGRAM. …
— Here’s a transcript of an interview Jim Harbaugh gave with ESPN this week discussing his future. Sounds as if the Raiders are the team people figure will lure Harbaugh away if anyone does.
— As much as being a candidate for the UW job, Pat Hill has to worry about keeping his job at Fresno State, a topic the Fresno Bee examined this week.
Lane Kiffin interviewed last week for the Clemson job, according to ESPN.com.
— Utah’s Kyle Wittingham, who said in a radio interview this week he’d listen if UW called, is building quite a defense.
— USC offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian, mentioned by some as a very peripheral candidate at UW, is getting a lot of criticism from Trojans fans.
Butch Davis said again Wednesday he has no interest in the Tennessee job which makes you think he wouldn’t have any interest in UW, either.
All for now.
