The latest news and analysis on the Montlake Dawgs.

Friday night notes

There’s just too much going on not to keep linking and noting. …
— One thing I forgot to pass along this week is that it is almost a certainty that if UW gets its money for the renovation of Husky Stadium that the team will play a year at Qwest Field. All of that will be officially announced sometime later, but that’s the word I got is that they’d have to play elsewhere for a year if that comes to fruition.
Scott Wolf of the LA Daily News says to discount rumors of a mass movement of assistants from the LA area to UW. I agree that it seems really unlikely DeWayne Walker or Norm Chow would make such a move.
— Speaking of Chow, Bill Plaschke of the LA Times says he should go back to USC to replace Sarkisian.
— UW QB recruit Keith Price told Scout.com he likes the hire of Sarkisian but hasn’t talked to anyone from UW in a couple of weeks and is keeping his options open and will visit Arizona State Dec. 13.
— ESPN’s Ted Miller answers some mail which includes some thoughts on both Sarkisian and Tyrone Willingham.
Brad Rock, a columnist for the Deseret News in Salt Lake City who covered Sarkisian in college, says he thinks UW made a winning choice.
— In case you’ve forgotten, UW does have a game on Saturday. Here’s a preview from the AP.
— Cal is likely headed to the Emerald Bowl regardless of what happens tomorrow.
All for now.
