More coaching stuff

New UW coach Steve Sarkisian is back at his old job for the next two weeks, and that started today as the Trojans practiced at USC.
And as might be expected a few more rumors broke from down there about his UW stasff.
Specifically, there’s one rumor that Scot Loeffler, who is currently the QB coach for the Detroit Lions, will become the new QB coach for the Huskies.
Loeffler was previously QB coach at Michigan and interviewed last year at UCLA before hooking on with the Lions. But with Detroit at 0-14 the fate of coach Rod Marinelli uncertain, he may be looking for a job.
Sarkisian, meanwhile, said to the Orange County Register that a hire for defensive coordinator could be coming “in the next day or so.”
But it’s unclear who it would be. Ron English has been rumored but has been thought more interested in pursuing the head coaching job at Eastern Michigan. Rocky Long has also been rumored, but one source indicated he may not be as interested in UW as some other jobs. Long said again today to the Denver Post that he wants to be a DC somewhere but didn’t say where he might land. DeWayne Walker is thought not interested in what would be a lateral move.
