A new Husky?

The Hawaii Tribune-Herald in Hilo is reporting today that lineman Semisi Tokolahi of Hilo High has given a verbal commitment to the Huskies.
Here’s the story, which reports that he still plans to visit a few other schools but that he considers himself committed to UW. The other schools recruiting him, according to the story, are Colorado, Oregon State and Washington State.
The 6-3, 290-pounder apparently projects as a defensive end, according to the story.
Tokolahi is a fairly off-the-radar recruit as I couldn’t find much about him on any of the recruiting sites. Here’s a brief profile from Scout.com.
I did find this note from early this month when he was named a Player of the Year for his district.
UW coach Steve Sarkisian was in Hawaii two weeks ago.
Assuming this holds up, he would be the ninth commit in UW’s Class of 2009. Here’s a list of the others.
