Holt to be assistant head coach, defensive coordinator UPDATED

So apparently, Nick Holt simply isn’t here yet, which is why the press conference has been postponed.
But he will be assistant head coach and defensive coordinator.
Here is the official release from the school.
A COUPLE MORE NOTES — As noted earlier, I was told Holt simply hasn’t been able to get here yet. And with Steve Sarkisian having set a 4:30 p.m. team meeting, there was a narrow window for holding the press conference today — they weren’t going to do it at 6 p.m. or something and they weren’t going to move a team meeting already scheduled. So tomorrow it will be for the press conference.
Also, worth mentioning that the press release for Holt notes he won’t be coaching a specific position. So there is still one more defensive position coach to hire, either an LB coach or a DL coach with Johnny Nansen filling the other role.
Also, just saw Brandon Johnson and Brandon Yakaboski walking around — Yakaboski, who had knee surgery earlier this year, appeared to be walking just fine.
