Another former UW assistant lands a job, more on recruiting

Charlie Baggett, who was the receivers coach at UW the last two years, has landed back in the NFL as the new WR coach for the St. Louis Rams.
Baggett has a long history in the NFL so word was that’s where he was expected to return after his two-year stint at UW ended. While the won-loss record obviously wasn’t good while he was here, Baggett impressed a lot of people around UW during his time here as a hard worker and a good recruiter — he was the point man for a lot of the South Sound recruits the last few years such as Jermaine Kearse and Kavario Middleton.
SCOUT.COM CONFIRMS TUCKER COMMIT — Scout.com has now also confirmed the commitment of LB Tim Tucker of Narbonne High in Harbor City, Calif. This gives UW what is a general consensus of 15 firm commitments for the class of 2009. Depending on the source, at least two others could also be in the fold.
Tucker and CB Dominique Gaise are the only firm commitments from this weekend. There are rumors of others, including LB/FB Simione Vehikite, who has previously been listed as a commit to USC. However, he has not given a public commitment, leaving only Tucker and Gaisie, as of Sunday night, as players who gave firm public commitments to UW out of this weekend’s visitors.
(And sorry that maybe there aren’t as many entries on here as usual, but had a family event all day).
