Huskies announce Dougherty as new WR coach

Washington has officially announced this afternoon the hiring of Jimmie Dougherty as its new wide receivers coach.
Here is the link from the school. Dougherty has agreed to a two-year contract worth $110,000 per season.
UW still has one position open, for an offensive line/offensive coordinator.
One person known to have interviewed is former UW assistant Steve Morton, now the OL coach and OC at San Jose State. Morton was OL coach at UW from 1992-98 under Don James and Jim Lambright, coaching the likes of Benji Olson and Olin Kreutz.
It is expected that an announcement of that hire could come soon, as well, thought it’s thought there are other candidates besides Morton and it’s uncertain if he is the front-runner for the job.
Dougherty replaces Aaron Roderick, who had agreed to a two-year deal worth $200,000 per season before deciding to return to Utah. Former OC Jim Michalczik was going to make $350,000. So UW may have a little more money to throw at an OC now than it did before.
