Former Husky Cooper reported missing at sea

For now, I’ll just relay this as is until more information becomes available.
There are reports this morning that former UW linebacker Marquis Cooper is one of two NFL players cited as missing after a fishing trip off the Florida coast.
Here’s an AP story. And here’s a story with a little more detail from the Contra Costa Times.
UPDATE — Here’s a story from the Tampa Tribune with a lot more detail on the incident.
Cooper, a native of Gilbert, Ariz.., played for UW from 2000-2003 and was a member of the Rose Bowl champion team of 2001. Here’s his UW bio.
He may be best remembered for his interception return for a TD that clinched the 2003 Apple Cup, a play you can relive here.
And here’s a story I wrote on Cooper in 2002 where he talked about his love of fishing.
I’ll post more information when it becomes available.
