Reports — A new Husky

Web sites are reporting tonight that the Huskies have received a commitment from Melvin Davis, a running back from Narbonne High in Harbor City, Calif.
Scout.com, Rivals.com and RealDawg.com are all reporting the commitment.
Here is Davis’ profile from Scout.com.
The 6-2, 220-pounder could also be a defensive end at the collegiate level.
Narbonne High has been pretty good to UW the last few years, also yielding the likes of Roy Lewis and Dashon Goldson.
Here are Davis’ game-by-game stats for last season as well as a blog post from the LA Times in 2007 stating that “A star is born” after Davis had a particularly good game.
He is the third commit for the Class of 2010 joining O’Dea RB Zach Fogerson and Lakes High DT Sione Potoae.
