Willingham back on the street?

FootballScoop.com, the web site that reported on Monday that former UW coach Tyrone Willingham would be working for the San Francisco franchise in the new United Football League, is reporting today that it won’t happen.
The site says that Willingham and the SF team were “unable to reach an agreement” and that Willingham is now expected to not work for the club.
Via e-mail, a spokesman for the league said on Tuesday only that all assistant coach hires would be announced in a couple of weeks.
No one at UW seemed to know anything about this the other day as Willingham hasn’t kept in much contact since being fired midway through last season and with his entire staff replaced.
If he had taken a job with the SF team, Willingham was slated to work for Dennis Green, a former boss at Stanford and with the Vikings. Green has been named as head coach for San Francisco.
As noted the other day, none of this has any financial implications on UW in any way as Willingham received a lump sum $1 million buyout of his Husky contract after being fired and the school is free of any other obligation.
