Husky Stadium update

As part of our continuing look at some of the financial challenges facing the two Pac-10 schools in the state, I wrote this story for tomorrow’s paper updating what UW does now in its attempt to renovate Husky Stadium.
As the story details, there are no firm answers right now, with the Husky Stadium Advisory Committee reconvening late last month to bat around its options. But no conclusions have been reached and more meetings are likely to be held before the school decides which route to take. It seems likely, however, that the school will make another attempt at getting some sort of public funding.
Hopefully the story also answers a few other questions some of you have asked me recently, such as why they don’t do it in phases or why they haven’t begun to raise money separately from what they are trying to get from the state.
Included in the package is this look at the rest of the stadiums in the Pac-10 and this on WSU’s plans for Martin Stadium.
