Not a lot of Husky news, necessarily, but a few interesting things to pass along nonetheless. so here we go. …
— Actually, here’s one UW story as Chuck Stark of the Kitsap Sun reports on the UW coaches tour stop yesterday.
— Buster Sports ranks the top 10 offensive tackles in the Pac-10 for 2009 and no Huskies make the list. And again, hard to argue with that, really. One tackle will be Cody Habben, who has started 15 games and could be due for a breakout, but given the results of last season doesn’t have a big resume yet. The other is likely to be redshirt frosh Drew Schaefer.
—- The Wizard of Odds has a good look at the latest episode in the evolving rivalry between Rick Neuheisel and Pete Carroll.
— More from the Wizard of Odds on a new personal-seat-license type of plan being instituted at Cal. This is must-reading for UW fans as this is among the types of things that could happen here, as well, in the attempt to find financing for a renovated Husky Stadium. I know this specific proposal was discussed by the Husky Stadium Advisory Committee last month.
— Speaking of Neuheisel, former Bruin QB Chris Forcier took the unusual step of distributing his own press release after transferring from UCLA recently. It’s an interesting read.
All for now.
