Saturday a.m. links

Always something there to be linked. …
— ESPNRISE.com has what may be the most exhaustive profile of Nick Montana to date, with lots of good stuff on how he may fit in at Washington. And you’ll note that Joe Montana declined to be interviewed for the story. Some of you had asked me what his thoughts are on his son’s decision to attend UW, but so far, I haven’t seen him interviewed as he apparently wants to stay out of the limelight on this one.
— SI.com theorizes that Notre Dame could make a BCS run and throws in UW as one of what it figures should be a lot of sure things for the Irish this season.
— Dr. Saturday looks at how both UCLA and LSU — two teams on UW’s schedule this season — may be basing much of their optimism more on subtraction of some unpopular members of their 2008 teams.
All for now.
