Huskies set to hire Meggs as baseball coach UPDATED

This may be the last baseball interlude we have for a while here on the blog, but wanted to pass along that there are several reports out tonight that the Huskies have found a new baseball coach. A source also has confirmed it to the Times, saying that an announcement will happen Monday.
The new coach is expected to be Lindsay Meggs of Indiana State, something that is also being reported tonight by the Terre Haute Tribune-Star.
UPDATE — The UW confirmed Sunday afternoon the hiring of Meggs and said he will be introduced at a press conference Monday at 11 a.m.
Here also is our story with more details.
Meggs is 77-79 in three years at Indiana State but was the Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year this season in leading the Sycamores to a 33-21 record this season. And he has a lot of West Coast ties having played at UCLA and having previously been the coach for 13 years at Cal State-Chico winning two NCAA Division-II national titles.
Meggs will replace Ken Knutson, who was fired late last month
