Monday morning practice notes

An early morning for the Huskies, who hit the field about 8:45 a.m. for a non-pads practice. They’ll have another one tonight, apparently in full pads, beginning at 6:45 p.m.
Here’s what it looked like early on this morning as the team did some conditioning.

(That’s Jason Wells nearest the camera. E.J. Savannah was right behind him,. His left hand/thumb is in a cast, but he appears to be doing all the normal work. We’ll see tonight if it impacts him in any way when they do more contact stuff).
Also back out today were CB Justin Glenn and WR James Johnson. Glenn had missed the last few days with a hip pointer, Johnson was injured Saturday when he landed on his shoulder. But again, this is a no-pads workout so no real contact.
Doesn’t appear to be any other personnel news of note. The lineups look the same other than Kavario Middleton continuing to run with the ones at tight end. But otherwise, there has been little shift in any of the lineups since camp began (Vonzell McDowell has been running with the ones as a CB in Glenn’s absence).
Also, FB Paul Homer (hamstring) remains out.
The biggest news may be that ESPN.com’s Ted Miller is in town for his regular pre-season look at the Huskies. So expect a few UW-related pieces from Miller over the next few days.
