Update on opening lines, Warren Moon speaking to the team tonight, and more. …
— Coach Sark Twittered tonight — and there’s a sentence I never envisioned writing a few years ago — that former UW QB Moon spoke to the team at a meeting following practice.
— ESPN’s Greg Biggins gives a good rundown of the three recruits UW landed this week.
Jon Wilner assesses the lines for the opening week of Pac-10 play and says UW being an underdog by 15.5 points shows the Huskies a lot of respect, maybe more, he says, than is warranted. VegasInsider.com, however, shows lines as high as 16.5 for the Tigers.
— Speaking of LSU, here’s an update on Tigers that says their defense is pretty banged up.
— And here are links to more stories about the Tigers as well as the news that the team is about to go into lockdown mode.
— Some of you have asked about Juan Garcia. The former Husky is listed third on the depth chart for the Vikings at left guard heading into an exhibition game tomorrow night against the Cheifs when some guy named Favre is scheduled to make his Minnesota debut.
Bud Withers’ Pac-10 series next spotlights Stanford.
Nick Daschel lists Daniel Te’o-Nesheim as the No. 2 defensive end in the Pac-10 this season.
All for now.
