Thursday a.m. links

A few quick ones before I get on my way to the last morning practice of camp. …
— I wrote today about Tripper Johnson, the walk-on backup safety who started more games than even he figured he would a year ago. Now this year, with other guys returning to health, he’s likely to have more of the kind of role everyone anticipated all along — adding depth and helping out on special teams.
— Coach Sark names Jake Locker as his player of the day on his daily top five list.
— Speaking of quarterbacks, Nick Daschel writes that “on second thought,” UW is the real QB U of the Pac-10.
— ESPN’s Ted Miller ranks the Pac-10’s running backs and has UW ninth.
Vince Grippi has a lot of links from around the Pac-10.
— The Sporting News ranks LSU No. 8 in the nation and has this breakdown.
— Here are lots of links about LSU, which wrapped up its camp earlier this week.
All for now.
