Oregon’s Blount suspended for the season

Because I know there’s a lot of interest in this, thought I’d pass along that the Eugene Register-Guard is reporting that Oregon RB LeGarrette Blount has been suspended for the rest of the season.
Here’s the link. The Oregonian has it, as well. UPDATE — The Pac-10 also just released a statement affirming the punishment saying that the conference has “reviewed and endorsed” the actions taken by Oregon today.
Obviously a personnel blow for the Ducks but a decision that may have been needed to restore order to that team.
Blount was one of the top returning RBs in the nation with 1,002 yards last year though he had minus-five last night against Boise State.
For a breakdown of what Oregon does now at RB, read this.
