Ticket update

If UW fans were impressed by the competitiveness of the season-opening loss to LSU, it hasn’t resulted in a huge rush to the ticket booth.
UW officials report that there are about 57,000 tickets sold for Saturday’s game against Idaho.
Given that more ticketes are likely to be sold in the next two days, it will likely bump up enough to surpass the lowest attendance of last season, which was 57,013 against Arizona State. Still, it could be about 15,000 or so shy of capacity (and give more evidence why, in a time of tight budgets, you schedule at least one team like LSU and not just two Idahos for your non-conference home slate).
The non-student season tickets sold for the year is roughly 40,500. That’s a few hundred more than last week, though UW officials say that’s no more of an increase than is usual for the first week of the season, when there are always some fans who decide at the last minute to purchase season tickets.
There have also been 5,539 student season tickets sold, and including the sales of the five-game season ticket that goes on sale once school starts, the total of student season tickets sold is also about the same as a year ago.
