Just a little bit of everything. …
— Here’s our UW notebook for today focusing on a few interesting faces on the Vandals sideline.
Bud Withers has this college football notebook. Not included are his picks and Pac-10 rankings — he has UW winning 38-20 this week (a popular score in UW history) and No. 8 in the conference ahead of Oregon and WSU.
— Coach Sark’s blog has some info on painting the end zones at Husky Stadium.
— UW commits Nick Montana and Erik Kohler and their Oaks Christian teammates are in action tonight against Muir HIgh of Pasadena, alma mater of current UW cornerbacks coach Demetrice Martin, among others. Oaks Christian will then begin preparing for its visit here next week to play Skyline.
— Here’s a really good story on UW commit Melvin Davis detailing a tragedy his team is attempting to overcome.
— Here are links to my segments talking about the Huskies on ESPN 710 Thursday afternoon (more importantly, here is a link to the guests who came in afterward).
— Some notes on Idaho’s preparation for the Huskies.
Ken Goe of The Oregonian has his weekly whimsical look around the Pac-10, also asking the question why LeGarrette Blount got a season and Aaron Brooks a couple of games for hitting Ryan Appleby a few years ago.
Nick Daschel writes that a UW revival is critical for the overall reputation of the Pac-10.
Tony Wroten Jr. was sidelined last night by a bruised knee.
— Finally, here’s some more info on Isaiah Stanback’s return to QB with the Patriots.
All for now.
