Huskies on cover of SI.com

Washington’s resurgent play the first two weeks of the season has been one of the hot national topics of the week, especially with a high-profile game against USC on tap Saturday, and it’s SI.com’s turn today to spotlight the Huskies.
Their package includes this column from George Schroeder, who is also the columnist for the Eugene Register-Guard; this prediction by Stewart Mandel that UW will beat USC (though ominously, note that Mandel is 8-12 for the season); and this sidebar on Jake Locker.
And if you look right this minute, the Huskies are featured on the site’s home page.
Also, meant to link this yesterday, but Softy had a nice interview with Joe Montana as part of the Mike Holmgren Show. Montana hasn’t done a lot of interviews regarding his son but he obviously wasn’t going to turn down Holmgren.
Finally, an interesting column from Scott Wolf of the LA Daily News on the dynamics of the relationship between Pete Carroll and his former assistants.
