Aguilar out for Saturday; Noble out indefinitely

Just made it back from practice and surprisingly it was a busy news day. I’ll have more later, but for starters sophomore WR Devin Aguilar has a sprained MCL and will not play Saturday at Stanford. Cody Bruns will take his reps.
Aguilar was injured in practice Wednesday and spent the rest of it on the bench with his knee in ice. He did not practice today. Coach Steve Sarkisian said they could have pushed Aguilar but didn’t want to risk it and that he should be able to play next week against Notre Dame.
Also, converted offensive lineman Craig Noble has been diagnosed with a potentially career-ending irregular heartbeat. He’s undergoing tests. Noble was a highly-touted recruit out of the Los Angeles area in the Class of 2008 but enrolled late due to academic issues and then was moved to the OL just a few weeks ago.
However, the news was better on a couple of other players as WR James Johnson is expected to play, though he didn’t practice Thursday while nursing a shoulder injury he aggravated in practice Thursday. And WR D’Andre Goodwin and MLB Donald Butler are fine.
More later.
