Wednesday links — and live chat at 11 a.m.

A multi-threat blog post here — kind of like a QB who can run — as I’ll provide a few links while also sending out a notification that we’ll host one of our weekly chats today at 11 a.m. Nothing much has happened the last week or so but we’ll try to muddle through to find something to chat about.
As for the links. …
— My story for today led off with an item on Chris Polk. Specifically, I was curious how many yards after contact he had after he had said on Monday he thought it was one of his better days. RB coach Joel Thomas had the answer included in the story. I’ll have more thoughts from Thomas on the RB situation in a later post.
Bud Withers has his weekly Pac-10 notebook examining what’s happened at Cal.
Nick Daschel has fun with some Pac-10 numbers that includes a few items on the Huskies — including a curious demotion in UW’s ranking from CBSSports.com.
— He also gives the Huskies a B for the week with a good picture of the two-point play included.
— UW’s scheduling moves yesterday made news in Salt Lake City; and in Hawaii (with some good financial info included here); and in Cheney.
— A good source of Arizona news is Anthony Gimino’s blog at the Tucson Citizen. The print product no longer exists, but kind of like the PI here in our town, the Citizen is trying to make a go of it as a web site only.
— More Arizona news here.
— The UA student paper looks at Jake Locker.
— Here’s the USA Today team report on Arizona which offers a good overview of the Wildcats heading into this week’s game. And here’s the one for Washington.
Chris Dufresne of the LA Times also offers a Pac-10 notebook wondering why Stanford isn’t ranked.
— Lots of Pac-10 links from Vince Grippi.
All for now.
