Post-game coverage of the Montlake Miracle

Our post-game coverage of what has to be one of the most miraculous finishes in UW history has been posted.
Though first, I’ll throw it out to old-timers to let me know if there has been anything to approximate the finish tonight. I’ve covered every UW game since 1997 and there have been a few really memorable finishes — the one game that seems to most approximate this one to me is the 2000 home win over Cal when the Bears dominated for most of three quarters before the Huskies scored 23 points in about five minutes to get the win. For a single play, the one that may most resemble this one is the Cody Ellis catch off his legs in the 2006 Apple Cup. But this one for sure miracle value may be hard to top.
On to the links:
— Here’s my game story with the nuts and bolts of what happened.
Percy Allen details the Foster interception.
Steve Kelley writes that the Huskies found a miracle while continuing on the rebuilding road.
Jerry Brewer writes that UW’s no-quit attitue paid off.
— Here’s our photo gallery.
In links from other sources. …
Ted Miller writes that the magic has been reignited at Husky Stadium,
— Arizona Daily Star columnist Greg Hansen says the Wildcats booted one away they should have won and also has some good description of the fateful play.
— The Star also calls the loss “The Agony of Da Feet.”
I’ll have the post-game grades in a little while.
