Wednesday practice update

Some tight deadlines for my story tonight may mean I can’t file a longer practice report until later, so here are a few quick updates in the meantime:
— WR Devin Aguilar sat out today after getting his bell rung in Tuesday’s practice, but coach Steve Sarkisian said it was precautionary and Aguilar would be able to play Saturday.
— DE Kalani Aldrich may be out with knee swelling and OT NIck Scott sat out with a shoulder injury suffered Tuesday. Sarkisian indicated Scott might be able to go if needed but sounds like Aldrich might be more unlikely, though Sarkisian said he’s officially day-to-day.
— Everyone else of note was available. TB Chris Polk took his regular snaps at running back and took some hard hits during a short-yardage drill and seemed fine. DT Cameron Elisara (stinger) rotated a bit with Everrette Thompson but saw some action. S Nate Williams was back taking all the snaps with the starters alongside Nate Fellner.
Adam Long continued to get most of the snaps at one corner spot ahead of Quinton Richardson, who spent the last few minutes of the final team period watching from the sidelines after being sent off the field by position coach Demetrice Martin after he was beaten on a play by D’Andre Goodwin. However, defensive coordinator Nick Holt said later that he wasn’t sure who would start at that corner spot, saying the only sure thing at corner is that Desmond Trufant will start.
Jordan Polk limped away from practice with what looked like an ankle injury, but it didn’t seem serious.
— The team again practice indoors preparing for what is expected to be 100-degree temperatures at midway Saturday, though surely cooling by the 7:15 p.m. kickoff.
All for now.
