Wednesday p.m. links — Phil Steele picks Huskies to win

We’ll start the links with one UW fans will like — Phil Steele picking the Huskies to beat Oregon Saturday 26-23. You can obviously read it for yourself, but in essence Steele says the uncertainty over Oregon’s QB situation and Washington’s home field advantage have him siding with the Huskies.
— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller offers this second-half outlook on UW and predicts no bowl game this season. (Nick Daschel earlier today picked UW to go to a bowl game so this sets up a great battle between the those two titans of Pac-10 journalism. Not quite Ali-Frazier I, but close).
— The Arizona Daily Star featured the Huskies in its Pac-10 Notebook this week.
— The LA Times calls the UW-Oregon game “The Uncivil War.’
Jon Wilner doles out his mid-season awards and has Jake Locker and Donald Butler on his All-Pac-10 team.
All for now.
