Thursday afternoon links — Oregon QB still uncertain?

The Ducks are done practicing for today, and according to coach Chip Kelly, it will be a gametime decision whether UO will start Jeremiah Masoli or Nate Costa at quarterback on Saturday against the Huskies.
But as the Eugene Register-Guard points out, this sounds like just a lot of gamesmanship — Masoli has been able to practice this week. And guys who practice usually play.
UW coach Steve Sarkisian said earlier this week that the Huskies would prepare as if Masoli would be the starter. No. 3 QB Keith Price, a mobile QB who also took a recruiting visit to Oregon as the Ducks thought he would be a good fit in that offense, has been the scout team quarterback for the Huskies all week, emulating Masoli and wearing his No. 8 in practice (more on which in a future entry).
IN OTHER NEWS. …
— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller ups his comment count by riffing on the UW-Oregon rivalry.
— Here’s another reminder that it’s Purple And Gold Day tomorrow in the state of Washington — yes, the entire state.
— Oregon fans are reacting predictably to Portland bridges being lighted purple and gold. Hey, maybe they are just honoring Barney?
Jon Wilner jumps in the boat with everyone else and picks the Huskies to win.
— But Nick Daschel, always a trend buster, sides with the Ducks 41-27.
All for now.
