Thursday links — and live chat at noon

First, a quick note that I’ll hold a live chat today at noon.
Now, on to the links. …
—- In what is our usual look at the UW opponent of that week, I wrote this today about Oregon.
— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller, a day after saying the Huskies won’t make a bowl game this year, picks the Huskies to beat Oregon Saturday, 30-27. Miller also says it’s going to be “nasty fun” at Husky Stadium Saturday.
— The Oregonian’s Ken Goe says Steve Sarkisian has UW on the right track but the recovery may still take a while.
— The Oregonian also talks to former Oregon players about the nature of the rivalry and looks at the uniforms the Ducks may wear Saturday.
— Goe also has an item on UW offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier, an Oregon native who for a time wanted to play for the Ducks before ending up at Idaho. Included are lots of links to other Pac-10 stories.
— Former Oregon QB Danny O’Neil says he worries that the Ducks may be thinking too much about USC next week and not UW this week.
— The RG also has a story on UW QB Jake Locker.
Nick Daschel debates whether Locker will prove worthy of winning the Pac-10 Player of the Year award, noting that the winner usually comes from a team that finishes near the top of the standings.
— I may not getting around to writing a story on the history of the rivalry this week. But I wrote this story a few years ago that I’ll link this week as a refresher.
All for now.
