I don’t often make headline topics on here of matters involving other Pac-10 teams.
But figured this deserved it since it’s been such a hot button topic as the Pac-10 this morning has reinstated Oregon TB LeGarrette Blount.
Here is the full text of the statement from the Pac-10:
Pacific-10 Conference Commissioner Larry Scott has approved a request from University of Oregon to reinstate suspended football player LeGarrette Blount. Blount was suspended for unsportsmanlike actions following Oregon’s football game at Boise State in September.
“After a thorough review of the situation, I am convinced LeGarrette Blount paid a significant and appropriate price for the mistakes he made on the field, and that he has learned important life-long lessons,” said Scott.
The reinstatement is effective immediately and Blount is eligible to play in Oregon’s remaining football games.
That means Blount will be eligible to play this week at home against Arizona State, at Arizona on Nov. 21 and at home against Oregon State Dec. 3. Plus whatever bowl game Oregon attends.
Here’s more, including some quotes from Blount.
