Tuesday a.m. links

It’s a bye week, so not as much out there. But here are a few things of interest. …
— UW coach Steve Sarkisian talked at length about Jake Locker’s pending NFL decision at Monday’s press conference so I decided to write about it. Included is a poll with 88 percent of responders as I write this saying Locker is not ready yet for the NFL.
— The UW Daily weighs in with 10 reasons Locker should go and stay (No. 2 on the stay list would do it for me).
— The Cleveland Plain-Dealer had an interesting view of this year’s QB class, including some thoughts on Locker, with the Browns again in the market for a quarterback.
— If you’re interested in the process of underclassmen declaring early, here’s everything you need to know from the NCAA in this letter sent to all players considering making the move. (The author of that letter, by the way, is one of the NCAA officials who interviewed Rick Neuheisel about his gambling activities way back when).
Ted Miller has UW ranked ninth in the Pac-10 this week and says the OSU loss revealed a harsh reality that the rebuilding may take a while.
Nick Daschel gave the Huskies a D for the week.
— MaxPreps.com rates Oak Christian No. 5 in the country this week.
— Someone asked me about it today so I’ll pass it along to all — here is a list of all of UW’s recruits with info and video from ESPN.com.
— Here’s an update on Deontae Cooper’s team as well as Redlands East Valley, which features one of the newest UW commits, Andrew Hudson.
— Here’s ESPN’s story on the commitment over the weekend of Victor Burnett.
All for now.
