Monday morning links

So are you glad the Huskies have another game this season? Or would you rather have walked into the off-season with the Apple Cup win?
If you don’t like it, remember that it sounds as if the two schools are working to again make the Apple Cup the last game of the season, simply playing it the first weekend in December, as will be done next year in Pullman.
On to the links. …
— I addressed the bye week and other issues in my story for Monday’s paper.
Jim Moore calls the Apple Cup a nightmare — I’m almost surprised he remembered it well enough to categorize it as anything. Moore also empties his mailbag, seemingly full of queries from Husky fans.
Ted Miller has UW No. 9 in his weekly power ratings.
Nick Daschel gives the Huskies a B-plus for the weekend.
Ken Goe has a good wrapup of the Pac-10 weekend and a look at the bowl picture.
— There’s not much Cal news to pass along as the Bears were off last week. But this press release notes that the Bears’ wins over Arizona and Stanford were the first time the school has beaten ranked foes on consecutive weeks since 1950. So the Bears definitely coming in on a little of a high.
— There’s lots of various recruiting news out there but no commits yet from the visitors this weekend. I will try at some point soon to have an update on the overall recruiting picture to this point, though that may wait until next week unless there’s big news this week.
More later.
